Hello everyone! My name is Kasey Kretz and I am the Music Director for 91.5 The Mountain. I am a senior here at CMU. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree with a major in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts and a minor in Multimedia Design.
A little about me: I am originally from Saginaw, Michigan. I love to be creative, and I have received many opportunities to do so during my time at CMU. Some of my passions include photography, creative writing, and Tigers baseball. I have also performed some stand-up comedy open mic nights.
This is my fourth year of involvement with WMHW. In addition to being the Music Director, I am an on-air personality on 91.5 The Mountain, a member of the WMHW Production Staff, and a host of “Call A Counselor”, a special program on 101.1 The Beat.
For most of my time at CMU I have also been heavily involved with CMU Film Society, and this will be my second year as their Fundraising Chair.
I am involved with Moore Hall Television (MHTV). I was a Production Assistant on MHTV’s program “Seven Deadly”. I am also involved with News Central and Central View Live, and I’ve directed, technical directed, and ran audio for those shows. This semester I will be producing some of them as well.
I am very excited to continue my involvement with WMHW, MHTV, and CMU Film Society, and I’m looking forward to a great year!
