WMHW Enters the Polar Plunge

What is the Polar Plunge?

Each year Law Enforcement Torch Run holds the Polar Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics Michigan. Thousands of participants a year take the challenge of diving in freezing cold water, and this year WMHW-FM is jumping in to the fray.

On February 17th, the Mt. Pleasant Polar Plunge will be taking place at O’Kelly’s / Wayside, and representatives of Mountain 91.5 and 101.1 The Beat will take the dive to support Special Olympics Michigan. If you would like to take part in the fundraising, you can donate to our Polar Plunge team! All proceeds go directly to Special Olympics Michigan. Special Olympics Michigan is an annual event for adults and children with intellectual disabilities. Each year more than 23,000 individuals compete in the event. The funding for Polar Plunge go towards year-round sports training and the competition for the participants. At the time of writing this on January 25th, the Mt. Pleasant Polar Plunge alone has already raised more than $13,000, and you can be a part of it!
